Lagniappe Academies partners with community organizations and service providers to ensure that families have access to necessary services and resources, including the following:
Special needs programs
Lagniappe Academies accepts all students regardless of physical, emotional, or academic challenges. A full-time Director of Special Education works closely with the Chief Academic Officer to ensure that instruction is accessible and tailored to appropriately challenge every student to reach his/her full potential.
School-based health programs
Lagniappe Academies’ comprehensive health program addresses physical and mental health needs, general well-being, nutrition, and physical fitness. These services are integrated into the curriculum, food services, and enrichment programming. All students receive vision and hearing screenings and Lagniappe Academies facilitates access to health services through partnerships with a variety of community health organizations.
Afternoon Enrichment Programs
Lagniappe Academies offers students a wide variety of enrichment programs to extend learning opportunities beyond the classroom. Students may choose from activities spanning music, arts, athletics, outdoor activities, and cultural programs.
School Supplies and Uniforms
Lagniappe Academies provides all necessary school supplies, including the first uniform shirt and one pair of long pants at no cost to parents. Lagniappe works with families who may need additional help with uniform expenses.
